As with any other Windows computer, you need to install the Fitbit software to get the base station up and running in order to send data back to the Fitbit website. However, by default the service that runs the Fitbit software in the background runs as Local System which does not have sufficient rights to call back to Fitbit over the web. DriverUninstaller.exe is the Fitbit Base Station (Driver Removal)'s primary executable file and it occupies about 1.61 MB (1683080 bytes) on disk. The other thing I had to do get the Windows 10 PC to see the Fitbit was to update the Bluetooth driver - right clicked on the Realtek Bluetooth 4.0 Adapter and updated the driver and that solved the problem. After I turned my phones bluetooth back on I'm still able to sync with Windows 10 until I sync with my phone again. Then Windows 10 doesn't work again. So it seems the mobile Fitbit app which has bluetooth built-in doesn't have a problem with, let's call it, auto-pairing. But Windows 10 with the dongle doesn't auto-pair.

Fitbit Connect is a freeware activity tracker software app filed under drivers and made available by Fitbit for Windows.

If you already have a Fitbit account, use the Fitbit app on your phone, tablet, or Bluetooth-enabled Windows 10 computer to set up your new scale. In the Fitbit app, tap the Today tab your profile picture. Tap Set Up a Device. Choose your device. Follow the on-screen instructions to create a Fitbit account and connect your scale to the internet. After your driver software installs, use your Windows 10 computer to update the firmware on your watch as instructed by Customer Support. Before you begin the firmware update, charge your device and confirm you have the latest version of the Fitbit app installed on your phone or tablet. Note the following:

• If you update your device at midnight (when your step count resets) you may see an inaccurate step count for 24 hours.
• Updates may take up to an hour or more to complete.
• Let the Fitbit app run in the background on your phone, which allows a small portion of the firmware update to download to your Fitbit device each time your device syncs.

1. Firmware updates only become available if you allow the Fitbit app to run in the background. You may need to adjust your phone's settings to allow the Fitbit app to run in the background.
2. With your charged Fitbit device nearby, open the Fitbit app.
3. Tap the Today tab > your profile picture > your device image.
4. Tap the pink Update button. This option only appears if an update is available.
5. Follow the on-screen instructions and keep the device close to your phone, tablet, or computer during the update. After you start the update, a progress bar appears on your device and in the Fitbit app until the update is complete.

   1. Click the Fitbit Connect icon located near the date and time on your computer.
   2. Click Open Main Menu.
   3. Click Troubleshooting.
   4. Below the Fitbit Connect number, click Check for updates.

Your Fitbit scale automatically checks for updates. When an update is available, the scale downloads and installs the update. /download-microsoft-lumia-535-pc-suite-and-usb-driver.html. If you step on your scale and see a progress bar, the scale is currently checking for updates. Wait until it's done to complete a weigh-in.

In the Fitbit app, tap the Today tab > your profile picture > your device image. The firmware version number appears under your device's name.

On the fitbit.com dashboard, click the gear icon and select your device to find the firmware version.
